WORK-SPACE inspiration

I started Koalita Craft, few days after I knew I was expecting and few weeks later I moved from a Studio in London to a 2 bedroom plus 1 house in Kent.
When I moved, after the unpacking thing that I hate, I started planning my beautiful working-space. It had room enough to let go of having just a small corner in the living or dining area, as it was in my previous Studio-home, to plan something bigger! The "plus 1" obviously!
I felt like I was starting in big style... small (new) business ---> "big" and organized office.
Well... 2 years later, pregnant of my second daughter, I had to make a few arrangements in my office to fit a cot...
Almost three years later and I'm making arrangements again. Sharing my space with a nursery is not an option anymore. You see... there's no nursery or even an office in that "plus 1" anymore. Now, my darling "plus 1" is an all-the-time-untidy playing room with a desk near the window shouting "take me out of here!"
And my "room enough to let go of having just a small corner in the living or dining area" turned in a "let's try to find a less messy place to put your desk somewhere in the house".
Found out that, thanks to my small and forever-provisional wardrobe, there's still 1.20 meters available in my bedroom to put my desk. Definitely not the perfect solution but the only one  at the moment. I just don't want to move again, not keen on packing and unpacking again.
Things are as they are so we have to make the best of them.
Time for looking desperately for inspiration and Pinterest is the perfect and easiest tool for that. Let me show you what I found:

Two different spaces based on the same monochromatic choice that I really love.  {Left image} The green given by the fresh botanical element makes the room alive. {Right image} The deer head made with washi tape is genial.
Really like the splash of orange although it won't fit with the rest of the bedroom decor... a pity. I would be very happy with any of these desks as well.
{1st and 2nd images}Awesome wall organizers. With such a tiny space available a wall organizer like these should be a must have. {3rd image} Nice display for a inspiration board.
I chose these spaces mostly because of the feeling of "old school" that they have: Love the huge "A", the big scissors and the binder clips as picture display.
Small, white, wood and black details... as it actually would hopefully be.
And this just because it feels warm and lived!

THIS WEEK IN MY LIFE

It's Friday already! This week has been different than usual around here. With many appointments due to the pregnancy and some bits and bops to solve, I wasn't able to do the usual posts. In times like this I just wish my day could be a few hours longer.
However, I managed ending the new "ring pillow" that I was working on and it's already available on KP Etsy shop. Well, it will be listed on my Folksy shop sooner or later so, keep an eye on it!

In the next 2 weeks Laura's nursery is going to be closed for summer holiday, I guess that I will have no time at all for anything else apart from trying my best to get her less bored. She is such an active girl and I'm a lazy pregnant... I'm predicting difficult times ahead! :)

Unfortunately I may not have time for many updates at the blog. Though, I will try to finish some new items of KP Christmas collection. Let's see what time Laura lets me work.
In the mean time here's a sneak peak of Christmas in Koalita Party. I can't wait to show you more...

MONDAY MORNING

Slowly waking up to a new week beginning. This is the week before my daughter's first anniversary. As I previously said here,  I'm taking the challenge of organizing whole party and making the majority of the stuff: invitations, favors, decoration, birthday cake and other sweets...

Up up and away is the theme we've chosen for her first event. Now it's the time when she tries to get on her feet and be independent. We thought that this would be the most apropriated theme.
With that in mind I begun a massive search and found the most inspiring cakes, invitations and decorations that I'm happy to share with you. All pics were found on pinterest. Please enjoy!

ONE BUSY WEEK

This has been my anniversary week. On monday I turned 38th years old - I'm getting old - I had a small tea party with some friends. It was a lovely time with cake, 38 candles and lots of smoke (laughing). Let me share a few moments with you:

After this awesome day, I had to get back to work. More ghosts to stitch, as I had my first sale on folksy - Yay! And another craft fair to prepare.
Yes! After our first experience last weekend we now just want to keep going with craft fairs all around Kent. This one will be in Hoo (Medway, Kent, UK) very near where we live.

We are aiming for your support, as always. Please, pop over even if just to say "hello".
With all these things going on it was impossible to post Tuesday's board inspiration as always. Next week we will return with it. I will be posting some news about Laura's birthday party as well. We have been delivering her invitations already and I want to show them for you. I think they are very cute. :)
I guess it's time to pick up the needles again and get on stitching! After all I'm one year older, I have to behave myself! ;)

And don't forget, the Awesome Autumn Giveaway is still running. It would be a shame if you miss it!

STUDIO - ON THE AIR!

Are you wondering: What is happening in KC Studio right now?
Well... lots of work on the table to get ready until tomorrow night.

Are you thinking: How will they manage to do that with such mess in the room?
That is a good question, without a good answer... Don't worry, we will beat this challenge!

I am already planing her birthday party. I will post some ideas that I am following which are also my inspiration for her first anniversary. Stay tuned because we are running again...
