LET'S PANCAKE DAY ALL DAY {continued}
At same time that, in some parts of the Earth, people are celebrating Carnival having fun on the street, wearing masks, dancing and making silly things. There are other parts where what people want is having pancakes all day! Why?
Pancake Day also known as Shrove Tuesday is the day preceding Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. Shrove Tuesday, a movable feast, is determined by Easter. It's the day for making a self-examination, considering what wrongs they need to repent. It's also the last day before the penitential season of Lent. The term Mardi Gras is French for Fat Tuesday, referring to the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday. Eating pancakes, as tradition in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand and Canada, devolved from using eggs and butter on the pancake recipe, ingredients that were forbidden during the fast. There are other traditions on this Tuesday-before-the-day-of-the-Lent but, as I can't play Carnival in my home country, Portugal, I will have my Pancake Day in the UK.
LET'S PANCAKE DAY ALL DAY!
Happy Pancake Day lovely people! Let's celebrate! Today we are having a feast here on the blog. Starting with the recipe, Pancake Day without pancakes would not be the same, don't you think?
So... check out these four recipes that I selected for you, don't they look delicious?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
And the day has arrived! Koalita Party's 3rd anniversary.
In 2011 I launched the first online shop of Koalita Craft. Koalita Craft on Etsy started as a brand for children. At the beginning of 2013 Koalita Craft became Koalita Party that is now more than a brand for children. It's a business without age range. New brand, new design, new goals but the same genuine mission: Making life more colourful and happier people.
These last 3 years were full of joy with the birth of my two daughters. Laura in October 2011 and Clara in October 2013. There wasn't much time for business but always replied in the best way possible to custom orders, holiday seasons and reasonable needs.
2014 is definitely the year to start a new cycle. And Koalita Craft blog and Koalita Party shop are on the top of the list. There's a lot to celebrate for what was accomplished but there's much more ahead. New products, brand new party packs and a long way to enter the wedding and events industry for good.
Do I have fears? Doubts? Yes! But I know that I'm not alone, my family, friends, customers, YOU, support and believe in me. I believe in ME and in my DREAMS. And it feels so right when someone contacts KP sharing their dreams and hopes so I can turn them alive. It feels so right when people thanks for promoting their work and effort.
YES! Hopefully I will be here in one year time celebrating again with all of you and more...
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
Big thanks to all of you!
Note: There's an awesome anniversary giveaway running here on the blog. Please don't hesitate in entering.

WHAT ARE WE HAVING TODAY?
Today should has been a guest post day by Scott. Unfortunately Scott is not able to collaborate with KC anymore. I'm going to miss his tips about photography...
Well, if you are an photographer or a photography addict and would like to share your passion with us, an email for a collaboration with KC's blog would be much appreciated.
In the mean time I'll share with you what has been happening around here. As Laura wasn't having nursery I had to dedicate the most of my hours and energy to her and to the endless appointments I had due to the pregnancy. However, I still managed, don't really know how, to work on some products for Koalita Party and Koalita Gifts, the Christmas is almost here and the Halloween is just around the corner. So I've been spending my little time designing and making these sweeties and a few more are in the oven almost ready to come out! Hope you like it!

MONDAY MORNING
Slowly waking up to a new week beginning. This is the week before my daughter's first anniversary. As I previously said here, I'm taking the challenge of organizing whole party and making the majority of the stuff: invitations, favors, decoration, birthday cake and other sweets...
Up up and away is the theme we've chosen for her first event. Now it's the time when she tries to get on her feet and be independent. We thought that this would be the most apropriated theme.
With that in mind I begun a massive search and found the most inspiring cakes, invitations and decorations that I'm happy to share with you. All pics were found on pinterest. Please enjoy!

ONE BUSY WEEK
This has been my anniversary week. On monday I turned 38th years old - I'm getting old - I had a small tea party with some friends. It was a lovely time with cake, 38 candles and lots of smoke (laughing). Let me share a few moments with you:
After this awesome day, I had to get back to work. More ghosts to stitch, as I had my first sale on folksy - Yay! And another craft fair to prepare.
Yes! After our first experience last weekend we now just want to keep going with craft fairs all around Kent. This one will be in Hoo (Medway, Kent, UK) very near where we live.

We are aiming for your support, as always. Please, pop over even if just to say "hello".
With all these things going on it was impossible to post Tuesday's board inspiration as always. Next week we will return with it. I will be posting some news about Laura's birthday party as well. We have been delivering her invitations already and I want to show them for you. I think they are very cute. :)
I guess it's time to pick up the needles again and get on stitching! After all I'm one year older, I have to behave myself! ;)
And don't forget, the Awesome Autumn Giveaway is still running. It would be a shame if you miss it!
